5 Fun Facts About Me

Hello again Future Jags! This week I'm going to tell y'all five fun facts about myself!


1) I am a transfer student here at USA. I transferred here after my fall semester of freshman year at a different university, and its one of the best decisions I have ever made.

2) My hometown is Huntsville, Alabama. We like to call it Rocket City though, because it is home to the Space and Rocket Center (which is super fun to visit by the way!).

3) I am a nursing major. This major is definitely not an easy one, but it is one that I am extremely dedicated to, and I cannot wait to start my journey with that career.

4) I have 2 dogs that I love very much, and miss them so dearly since I was not able to bring them with me to South, but they are one of my favorite parts of visiting home.

5) IT'S HOMECOMING WEEK AT SOUTH!!! If you couldn't tell, I am super excited about this one. Because I transferred to South, this will be my first homecoming week here. Saturday cannot get here soon enough so I cheer on our football team at the big game. Go Jags!!

Hey Future Jags! Finals week is finally here and I am now officially done with my classes! Since it is the end of the year, I would like to share what I have learned about myself from the 1 and a half years I've been here at USA. I have learned how to be independent. This is really important to me, because in high school, I always had friends in my classes and always felt comfort in knowing everyone around me. College has really helped me learn to branch and out do things on my own, as well as make new friends in classes or during our Jaguar Production events. This new found independent side of myself I know will help me drastically once I get out into the world after graduation, and I will have peace of mind knowing I will be just fine.

It's Almost Fall Break!!

Hey future Jags! It's almost fall break here at South Alabama, and to say I am excited would an understatement. During breaks, it is important to make sure you get some well deserved you time. For me, this includes Netflix, Netflix, and more Netflix!! Okay, not too much, but enough to get caught up on my favorite shows. I also love just pampering myself. Getting some inexpensive face masks and other pamper-like products really get me in the relaxation mood. Kicking back and relaxing is super calming and soothing, especially in the comfort of your own home. I know not everyone's relaxation time will look exactly like mine, but finding your perfect type of relaxation will aid in the perfect break from school and get you prepared to go back better than ever!

My Favorite Outdoor Place on Campus

It's Spring time here at South, and I couldn't be more excited! I absolutely love the warm weather and being outdoors during this season. My all time favorite place to be on campus during this time of the year is definitely the nature trails. They have several different trails, and they are extremely easy to follow. Along with that, there are informative plaques along the way so you can learn about the plant-life/animal-life that you may encounter along the way. I especially take advantage of these trails when I need a break from studying so I can get a breath of fresh air and take in the warmth of the season.
