Applying to USA

Hey everyone!! When I applied to USA, I was actually applying to transfer right after my freshman fall semester. It was a stressful time for me because I was trying to make sure my transcripts and final grades all got sent seamlessly before offices closed for the winter break. I had plenty of time to do all this, but because I wanted to be admitted to USA so badly, I was so concerned about making sure everything was perfect. The anticipation leading up to getting admitted was driving me crazy! I just wanted to know if I got in or not so badly. And then the day came. I saw that I had received a letter from USA, and I did't even wait one second before ripping it open (carefully of course). As soon as I saw the words that I had been accepted, I was thrilled! I couldn't wait for spring semester to start and to finally be able to call myself a Jaguar. You, also, should apply to University of South Alabama because it an amazing school and you won't ever forget that day you read your acceptance letter.

It's Almost Fall Break!!

Hey future Jags! It's almost fall break here at South Alabama, and to say I am excited would an understatement. During breaks, it is important to make sure you get some well deserved you time. For me, this includes Netflix, Netflix, and more Netflix!! Okay, not too much, but enough to get caught up on my favorite shows. I also love just pampering myself. Getting some inexpensive face masks and other pamper-like products really get me in the relaxation mood. Kicking back and relaxing is super calming and soothing, especially in the comfort of your own home. I know not everyone's relaxation time will look exactly like mine, but finding your perfect type of relaxation will aid in the perfect break from school and get you prepared to go back better than ever!

What I've Learned About Myself Since Becoming a Jag

Hey Future Jags! Finals week is finally here and I am now officially done with my classes! Since it is the end of the year, I would like to share what I have learned about myself from the 1 and a half years I've been here at USA. I have learned how to be independent. This is really important to me, because in high school, I always had friends in my classes and always felt comfort in knowing everyone around me. College has really helped me learn to branch and out do things on my own, as well as make new friends in classes or during our Jaguar Production events. This new found independent side of myself I know will help me drastically once I get out into the world after graduation, and I will have peace of mind knowing I will be just fine.

Getting Prepared for College!

Hey Future Jags! Getting prepared for college is something extremely important to be doing, especially within your last several weeks of high school. Making sure everything is lined up and ready after high school will make for a very easy and smooth transition into college. I have created a list of 5 things that I think are super important for the transition to college life, and I hope they help any of you Future Jags out there who can't wait to be a student here at South Alabama. 1) Meet with your high school counselors. This is important in making sure you know when your final transcript will sent out, and asking any questions you may have before you graduate. 2) Make sure to have your South Alabama recruitment counselor's information on hand for any questions you might have before you get to South.
